The Salvation Army Zanesville Women’s Auxiliary hosted a Red, White and Brunch in May to celebrate America’s 250th and Ohio’s 223rd birthdays.
The event served as a fundraiser to support the auxiliary’s initiatives, according to a community announcement.
The spring brunch helps fund the Coats for Kids, an auxiliary program that provided more than 800 new coats to Muskingum County children in 2025.
Additionally, John Larson from The Warehouse selected the women’s auxiliary as a recipient of his One Good Deed Journey and, along with his staff, assisted with the celebration activities.
The auxiliary, established in 1952, has more than 70 members who engage in various volunteer activities, including senior care center visits and the Christmas Angel Tree project.
The group meets the first Monday of each month from September through May, at the Salvation Army location at 515 Putnam Ave.
