Police seek missing Littlestown woman in Adams County and Maryland


Police are searching for a critical missing person along the Pennsylvania-Maryland border.

Kimberly Mackenzie-Smith, 52, of Littlestown, was reported missing by family on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after her family members reportedly received “concerning text messages,” Pennsylvania State Police said.

Smith may be operating a 2011 gray Kia Soul with a Pennsylvania license plate of HVF7859, police said, and was last known to be in the area of Taneytown, Md., on the evening of June 23.

Anyone with any information regarding Smith’s location or sightings should contact Pennsylvania State Police in Gettysburg at 717-334-8111, according to the release.

The Taneytown Police Department shared that they were assisting Pennsylvania State Police in the search for Smith as of Wednesday afternoon.
