Mark your calendars, French fry fans, because Friday, July 10, is National French Fry Day and fast food restaurants nationwide are serving up some special deals to celebrate. (Fry-yay!)
Whether you prefer crispy, crinkle-cut or curly, the unofficial food holiday has become a way for chains to reward their members with deals and discounts.
This year’s promotions at participating restaurants range from free fries with a minimum purchase, like McDonald’s, to app-exclusive giveaways from places like Chick-fil-A.
Here’s a roundup of some of the nationwide fast food restaurants that are offering deals to honor the golden-fried American staple.
Checkers & Rally’s
The fast food chain is celebrating from July 10 through July 12 with two offers:
a buy-one-get-one-free deal on seasoned fries of any size (excluding loaded fries) and a $1 sauce trio featuring three dipping sauces: secret sauce, ranch and honey mustard.
Chick-fil-A
From July 7 through July 14, Chick-fil-A One members can get a free medium-sized waffle fries by playing the chain’s new “Spot the Cows” game in the app. Users have to be signed in to a Chick-fil-A One account to play, according to the fast food restaurant. The reward will appear in the “rewards” tab. To redeem it, customers can add it to a mobile order or scan the QR code in-store. The offer is limited to one medium waffle fries reward per person.
Del Taco
Rewards members can grab a free regular fries when they make a $3 minimum purchase through the app or website from July 10 through July 12.
Five Guys
Customers can get one free Little Fry with the purchase of a burger, hot dog or sandwich through the Five Guys app or website. To get the deal, sign in or create an account and enter the promo code “FRYDAY26” at checkout.
Jack in the Box
On July 10, Jack Pack rewards members can get a free order of fries of any size with a minimum purchase of $1. The offer is limited to one use.
McDonald’s
The golden arches are offering rewards members a free medium fries when they make a purchase of $1 or more through the McDonald’s app. The offer is valid for one per customer at participating locations.
Sheetz
Snag one free bag of fries from July 10 through July 16 with a purchase of $10 or more through the Sheetz app under the “OFFERZ” tab. The deal is limited to one per My Sheetz Rewardz member.
Wendy’s
Rewards members can log in to the app and make a minimum purchase of $5 to get free fries of any size on July 10.
Whataburger
There’s no purchase necessary for Whataburger rewards members to grab a free medium fries. Redeem the offer online or in the app.
White Castle
Customers can get free cheese fries with any order. Just use the promo code “CHEESY” when ordering online, in the app or in store from July 10 through July 12.
