Days after an 18-year-old was shot inside an Atlanta home, his mother says he has died.
Daquaviyan Whatley’s mother confirmed to Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers that her son died on Friday evening.
Police said Whatley got into an argument with another person inside a home on Eason Street on Wednesday night, and that person shot Whatley.

His mother told Rogers that her son was shot in the head and was in a coma on Thursday.

Witnesses told Rogers they heard more than 50 gunshots.
When Channel 2 Action News at the bullet casings were spread across the ground. Crime scene techs found at least 17.
Police have not commented on any possible suspects or what led up to the gunfire.
