If the date has managed to catch you off guard, don’t worry. There are still plenty of plans you could make that will show any mom, aunt or grandma how much you appreciate them.
Here are four of New Hampshire’s best Mother’s Day activities to check out with mom this year.

Attend a wine tasting
Does mom love a good glass of wine? Treat her to a fancy day of wine tasting at Averill House Vineyard. On Mother’s Day, May 10, the Brookline vineyard is hosting a special wine pairing and brunch event.
The meal will include a cup of hot tea, wine samples and a four-course brunch inspired by High Tea service, featuring finger sandwiches, pastries and more. Classical flautist Anne Longtin will accompany the event, located in the scenic outdoor vineyard.
Tickets cost $59 per person, and brunch is offered in two sessions: 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. The vineyard is located at 21 Averill Road in Brookline.
Check out a craft festival
For the crafty moms who like to shop, the town of Hampton Falls is hosting its annual Mother’s Day Weekend Craft Festival on the Town Common. Goods will be available from over 75 artisans from across New England, including handcrafted jewelry, cork leather bags, hanging plants and landscape photography.
The festival will also have live music and food vendors, offerings goods such as cinnamon buns, pickled vegetables and fresh sourdough bread.
This free event will take place on May 9-10, with hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 9 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 10. Hampton Falls’ Town Common can be found at 1 Lincoln Ave.

Spend a day at the farm
Celebrate Mother’s Day with the whole family at Candia’s Charmingfare Farm, where activities include an animal-meeting area, pony rides and tractor rides. Moms who pre-register online get free admission and a ride wristband on Mother’s Day, as well as a 10% discount from the farm’s gift barn.
For others, tickets cost $23 for admission or $29 for admission and rides. The farm’s Mother’s Day event lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 11 at 774 High St. in Candi

Go plant shopping
For moms with a green thumb, head over to North Hampton’s Fuller Gardens for their annual Mother’s Day weekend plant sale. Mom can choose from perennials, annuals, herbs and potted rose bushes in lots of varieties. The plant sale will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 8-10, and the gift shop will be open all three days.
