Amarillo police said Friday night that a man who was injured in an earlier shooting on South Tyler has died.
On Friday, May 29, Jeremy Noel Ray, 45, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a shooting in the 3900 block of South Tyler, according to the Amarillo Police Department. Information about the incident was originally released by APD on May 25.
This case is currently being investigated by APD’s Homicide Unit.
Police said no arrests have been made in connection to this case at this time.

As previously reported, one person had serious injuries from the shooting, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to the scene, and they continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary information indicated the shooting may have been a domestic violence related incident.
Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
