A West Bridgewater fire truck that was responding after a state trooper hit a deer on Route 24 early Tuesday morning was rear-ended by a third vehicle, WCVB is reporting.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, a Massachusetts State Trooper traveling southbound on Route 24 hit a deer near Routes 106 and 104, according to reporting from media partner WCVB. The West Bridgewater Fire Department responded, and a vehicle collided with the fire truck that arrived on scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the fire truck was taken to Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, according to WCVB. Their condition is not known.

The fire truck sustained visible rear damage as a result of the crash.
The Enterprise left a message with the town of West Bridgewater concerning the extent of the damage to the fire truck and how it could impact the department’s capacity.
