Burger King’s latest menu is getting a Super Saiyan power-up.
The fast food chain is launching a limited-time menu collaboration inspired by the popular anime franchise Dragon Ball Super.
Starting Sept. 1, customers can order the new “Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack,” which includes:
10-piece chicken nuggets with Super Saiyan Sauce: Crispy white-meat chicken nuggets served with a sweet, savory and tangy teriyaki-style sauce.
Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade: A mango peach lemonade with mango-flavored popping boba.
Dragon Ball Super figurine: One of six exclusive character figurines, including Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo and Beerus.
The fast food chain says the meal also includes limited-time Dragon Ball Super packaging and a themed crown. The launch coincides with Burger King’s rollout of revamped chicken nuggets featuring what it describes as crispier breading, a new marinade and 100% white-meat chicken.
Dragon Ball is a global anime franchise created by manga artist Akira Toriyama. Toei Animation produces the franchise’s anime adaptations. Dragon Ball Super premiered in Japan in July 2015.
“Dragon Ball Super has inspired generations, and this collaboration gives families a fun, unexpected way to engage with a world they love while enjoying delicious new and innovative menu items that are fun for fans of all ages,” Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer for Burger King U.S. and Canada, said in a news release.
Younger fans can also join in on the fun. A Dragon Ball Super-themed King Jr. meal includes a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger or four or six-piece chicken nuggets, plus a side, drink, themed crown and one of six figurines.
The limited-time menu will be available at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.
