Hundreds of people were in attendance for the 49th annual Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration in downtown Corpus Christi to watch a fireworks show July 4.
Celebrating the United States of America’s 250th birthday, attendees were able to enjoy funnel cake or hot dogs from local food trucks while fireworks lit up above the Corpus Christi Bay.

The show lasted about 30 minutes as people cheered throughout the event.
