A cyclist has died two days after a collision with a car.

Hampshire Police officers were called to College Road in Waterlooville at about 10:40 BST on Tuesday.

The cyclist, Lee Joshua Grant, was taken to hospital, where he died on Thursday, said the force.

In a statement released by police, his mother said the 31-year-old had a passion for BMX riding and was “loved beyond words”.

She continued: “His kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many people.

“Even in death, my boy continued to help others. As an organ donor, he has given the gift of life to others, something that makes me incredibly proud.

“Lee will never be forgotten. I will carry him in my heart forever and treasure every memory we shared.”

The mother thanked those who helped Grant at the scene of the collision and in hospital.
