Trump shares photo of JD and Usha Vance’s ‘perfect baby boy’

Vice President JD Vance and his wife, second lady Usha Vance, announced on July 19 the birth of their fourth child and President Donald Trump took to social media to congratulate the couple.

“Congratulations! A perfect baby boy for the wonderful Vance family,” President Trump posted on Truth Social on July 20.

Usha Vance gave birth July 19 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, in Bethesda, Maryland. The couple thanked doctors and staff members at the medical center and the White House medical unit.

The occasion makes Vance the first vice president in over 150 years to welcome a child while in office.

“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning,” the Vance family said in a statement on social media. “Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.”

The second couple already has three children: sons Ewan, 9, and Vivek, 6, and daughter Mirabel, 4. The couple largely keeps their children out of the public view.
