Parker County dispatch team honored


The Parker County Sheriff’s Office announced that its dispatch and telecommunications team received the 2025 Telecommunications Device for the Deaf and Teletypewriter Award from the North Central Texas Emergency Communications District.

The award is presented annually to a public safety entity that has the highest number of TDD/TTY calls and demonstrates a strong commitment to serving deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

According to the NCT9-1-1, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office had an increase of more than 400% in these calls compared to the previous year.
