A two-vehicle collision in Franklin County has claimed the life of a Chambersburg woman who was standing near the scene of the crash, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. July 2 in Quincy Township. A Hyundai traveling east on Mentzer Gap Road entered the intersection with Tomstown Road and struck a Jeep that was heading northbound. The impact caused the Jeep to strike a woman who was standing outside of a Nissan Rogue on the side of Tomstown Road, according to police.
The pedestrian, Katina Espinosa, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Hyundai, Sandi Miller, 60, of Fayetteville, and Jeep operator Karleen Hall, 30, of Waynesboro, suffered suspected minor injuries, according to police, and were transported to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown and WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital, respectively.
The intersection located a few miles north of Waynesboro has a two-way stop sign on Mentzer Gap Road and additional signage advising drivers to look twice before continuing. While the police report states Hall entered the intersection before it was clear, she did not have a stop sign on Tomstown Road.
Neither driver has been cited in connection with the crash.
