Massachusetts can expect some chilly weather this weekend, with temperatures feeling more like early spring than the start of June.
Bay Staters can expect rain, gusty winds, and overnight low temperatures in the 40s as a cold front moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service. Wind chills are expected to dip below freezing in some areas.
“Saturday’s temperatures are looking very unseasonably cold,” said Emily McMinn, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norton. “This has happened in the past, but it certainly is abnormal.”
Temperatures will be around 20 degrees lower than the average this time of year, she said.
Here’s what to know about the “unsettled” weather in Massachusetts this weekend.
