It’s not really a holiday unless you need something last minute, then drive to pick it up, just to see the business is closed. On this sweltering Fourth of July, many may be wondering what businesses and organizations are open.
All banks are closed July 4 for Independence Day, as it’s a federal holiday. In a similar vein, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission is closed for the holiday. Road test sites, inspection stations and agencies are closed.
U.S. Postal Services offices are also closed July 4.
NJ Transit confirmed buses are to follow the weekend schedule, depending on the region, and rail is to have a modified schedule.
If you need some last-minute fireworks, hot dogs or maybe some decorations, here are some stores open July 4.
Cherry Hill Mall closes at 7 p.m. Individual stores may vary.
Deptford Mall closes at 6 p.m. Individual stores may vary.
Trader Joe’s, open until 5 p.m.
