Iberville Parish Government, the Town of Marngouin and the City of Plaquemine will work to make the area cleaner as part of an annual statewide project.
Iberville Parish Government will hold its annual cleanup day Saturday, April 18.
Businesses, families, civic groups and other volunteers will come together to keep the parish beautiful.
Volunteers in Iberville are invited to meet at 8 a.m. at the Mike Zito Multipurpose Center on Bayou Road, where they can get their cleaning supplies before they head to the assigned locations.
Iberville Parish President gives a pep talk to parish employees prior to the parishwide cleanup day in 2025. Crews will be busy parishwide for the next cleanup, which is held in conduction with the Louisiana Office of Tourism.
The programs are held in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Tourism and the Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser.
Here’s a list projects scheduled in conjunction with the cleanup:
Keep Maringouin Beautiful: Volunteers are needed for Maringouin’s Clean Up Day from 8 a.m. to noon April 18.
Early morning coffee, water, drinks and donuts will be provided. Supplies and T-shirts will be provided. Volunteers can meet at the Education Center next door to town hall.
Keep Plaquemine Beautiful: Volunteers are needed for Plaquemine’s Clean Up Day at 8 a.m. April 18 at the Plaquemine Locks. The plan is for each council member to have a team to clean up in their district. The city will also have a team to work on cleaning up various areas.
