Two annual Snow Hill events are set to bring visitors downtown, with the Blessing of the Combines celebration scheduled for Aug. 1 and the Seafood Festival returning Nov. 1.
The events highlight agriculture, local businesses and seafood traditions in the Worcester County town, according to a community announcement.
Blessing of the Combines will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 1 in downtown Snow Hill. A parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. and activities are planned throughout the day honoring local farmers and the region’s agricultural heritage.
Event organizers list a display of combines and tractors, a blessing ceremony, live entertainment, a children’s area and petting barnyard, pony rides, a car show presented by Wheels That Heal, vendors, crafters, food vendors and educational exhibits.
Downtown businesses plan event specials
Several downtown businesses plan to participate during Blessing of the Combines, including Sassy Girl Boutique, Golden Clover Cafe, Corddry Crossing Hobbies, Oaked 110, Tides & Vine, Snow Hill Toys, Bishop’s Stock, The Savory Cantina, Elliott’s Tavern, Caprichios Books, Hang 10, Downunder Pizza & Subs, Cool Things, Maryland’s Coast, Beauty & Splendor, Pocomoke River Canoe Co., Toy Town Antiques, Gospel Shoppe, Willow St. Wellness and the American Legion, according to the announcement.
Tides & Vine plans to open at 10 a.m. and advertise $6 mimosas throughout the day. The business also plans live music by East Coast Outlaw from 1 to 4 p.m.
Fika Coffee Roasting Co. is promoting event-themed beverages, including the Golden Harvest Cold Brew and Berry Blessed Sweet Tea.

Seafood Festival returns in November
Snow Hill’s Seafood Festival is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 1 in downtown Snow Hill.
The all-you-can-eat-and-drink event will feature seafood and specialty dishes prepared by local restaurants, seafood vendors and community organizations. Admission includes beer, soda and water.
Organizers said in the announcement that attendees can explore historic downtown while enjoying food, entertainment, shopping and local attractions.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. According to the announcement, the festival has sold out each year and organizers encourage advance ticket purchases.
Volunteer signups are expected to be offered first to previous volunteers before opening to the general public Oct. 1, according to the announcement.
The Seafood Festival will mark its sixth year and is one of several community events designed to draw visitors to downtown Snow Hill during the fall season.
