Stew Leonard’s is getting in on the hacky sack trend that’s sweeping social media with young people around the country.
“Grab one of our new hacky sacks for just $4.99 and see if you’ve still got the skills,” Stew Leonard’s grocery stores said in a Tuesday, May 19, Facebook, post. “Available in stores while supplies last!”
It could not be immediately determined if hacky sacks were available at every store location.

In video with the post, employees of the area supermarket chain that includes a Yonkers location try their feet at a hacky sack. Stew Leonard’s posted another video a few days ago on Instagram.
Videos have been posted on social media of high school students showing off individual moves and team skills with hacky sacks, bringing back a trend associated with the 1980s-1990s.
Stew Leonard also has locations in Connecticut, on Long Island and in New Jersey.
