Texas reservoirs are continuing to bounce back after years of drought, but Marble Falls Lake is telling a different story.
The lake was 95.8% full as of August 28, holding about 7,281 acre-feet of water with a mean water level of 736.48 feet, according to the latest reservoir data.
Rather than experiencing the dramatic rebound seen at severely depleted reservoirs such as Canyon Lake, Lake Travis and Lake Corpus Christi, Marble Falls Lake has remained relatively close to capacity.
The reservoir was 95.1% full one year ago, according to Water Data for Texas.
That makes Marble Falls Lake a contrast to other major Central Texas reservoirs that have seen more noticeable changes as water levels recover.

The lake was 91.1% full on May 28, with a mean water level of 735.88 feet. Three months later, it had climbed to 95.8% full and 736.48 feet.
The lake reached 97.4% full on August 21 before dipping slightly over the following week.
One month ago, on July 28, Marble Falls Lake was 94.6% full. Six months ago, it was 96.1% full.
The numbers show a reservoir that has been moving up and down but generally staying within a relatively narrow range near capacity.
Marble Falls Lake’s stability stands out as other reservoirs across Texas continue recovering from drought conditions.
Heavy rainfall in parts of Central Texas this year has helped replenish lakes and rivers, bringing significant changes to reservoirs that had spent years at lower levels, but Marble Falls Lake tells a different story.
